Hello!.

I am facing a scenarion like the below one. Can you please explain how to handle the '&' in the filter data. The code has been mentioned below.

-DEFAULTS &FLD = FIELD_NAME;
-DEFAULTS & TEST = FIELD_VARIABLE;

-SET &1 = ‘-SET &’|’MULTI = &’|
- &TEST.EVAL|
- ‘0.EXIST;’;

&1.EVAL

-SET &2 = ‘-SET &’|’VALUE = ’’’ | ‘&’| &TEST.EVAL | ‘.EVAL’ | ‘’’;’ ;

&2.EVAL

WHERE (&FLD EQ ‘&VALUE.EVAL)

Here the &TEST.EVAL contains the field variable value. In this case, it is given as 'ET'. When we choose any value, it goes to &ET.EVAL. So, if there is any value like 'Meals&Refreshment' which is passed, it is throwing an error '&Refreshment value is missing. I am getting error in the line which has &2.EVAL. This is because the value is set there for &Value.

Please let me know how to correct the code.

Difficult to answer all clearly, but this seems to answer, at least, a part of it :

-TYPE &|VALUE value is: &VALUE

-TYPE WHERE (&FLD.EVAL EQ '&VALUE');

-GOTO &MULTI
-1
-SET &3 = '-SET &' || 'MAX = &' || &TEST.EVAL || '0;';
&3.EVAL
-REPEAT ORVALS FOR &V FROM 2 to &MAX
-SET &4 = '-SET &' || 'VALUE = &' || &TEST.EVAL || '.&V;' ;

It's always a good idea to perform step by step each line until it works as desired.

Also not that I've added "-TYPE" in front of the WHERE and the OR line because it's throwing an error in DM where a "WHERE" or "OR" command cannot exist by itself.
