Hello everybody, I've a fex using ACROSS verb. The acrossvalues are too large for a sexy appearance said the end-user. So is there any method to change dynamically the values printed without changing them in the file ( like the AS phrase for title's column).This message has been edited. Last edited by: Kerry,

Thank's FreSte I've looked for the thread but it's not the same subject. My fex looks like this : DEFINE FILE CAR TITRE/A50=DECODE COUNTRY ('ENGLAND' 'ANGLE,TERRE' 'FRANCE' 'FRANCE' 'ITALY' 'Rép., ITALIENNE' 'JAPAN' 'Empire du, Soleil, Levant' ELSE 'N.A'); END TABLE FILE CAR SUM DEALER_COST BY CAR ACROSS TITRE ON TABLE SET PAGE-NUM OFF ON TABLE NOTOTAL ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT HTML ON TABLE SET HTMLCSS ON ON TABLE SET STYLE * I hope the result will be for the acrossvalues ANGLE FRANCE Rép. Empire du TERRE Italienne Soleil Levant But it is ANGLE, TERRE FRANCE Rép, ITALIENNE Empire du,Soleil, Levant
Is it possible ?

Philippe, SQUEEZE might work for you (remove the commas from the TITRE values):
DEFINE FILE CAR
TITRE/A50=DECODE COUNTRY ('ENGLAND' 'ANGLE TERRE' 'FRANCE' 'FRANCE' 'ITALY' 'RÉP. ITALIENNE' 'JAPAN' 'EMPIRE DU SOLEIL LEVANT' ELSE 'N.A');
END
TABLE FILE CAR
SUM
DEALER_COST
BY CAR
ACROSS TITRE AS ''
ON TABLE NOTOTAL
ON TABLE SET PAGE NOLEAD
ON TABLE SET HTMLCSS ON
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
TYPE=REPORT, FONT='ARIAL', SIZE=8,
$
TYPE=ACROSSVALUE, COLOR=GREEN, WRAP=0.5, JUSTIFY=RIGHT, $
ENDSTYLE
END

Francis, I was wrong, I have the option of course it was a coding mistake. But even I code WRAP=0.25 there is no change to my report.

seems to work in my example. There may be something else that's disabling it.
For instance, this doesn't work - if I remove AS '' from TITRE, it works. So adding a border can affect the result, AS '' can affect the result...
DEFINE FILE CAR
TITRE/A50=DECODE COUNTRY ('ENGLAND' 'ANGLE TERRE' 'FRANCE' 'FRANCE' 'ITALY' 'RÉP. ITALIENNE' 'JAPAN' 'EMPIRE DU SOLEIL LEVANT' ELSE 'N.A');
END
TABLE FILE CAR
SUM
DEALER_COST
BY CAR
ACROSS TITRE AS ''
ON TABLE NOTOTAL
ON TABLE SET PAGE NOLEAD
ON TABLE SET HTMLCSS ON
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
TYPE=REPORT, FONT='ARIAL', SIZE=8, $
TYPE=REPORT, BORDER=1, BORDER-COLOR=SILVER, $
TYPE=ACROSSVALUE, COLOR=GREEN, WRAP=0.5, JUSTIFY=RIGHT, $
ENDSTYLE
END
