Hi,
There is a scenario in which I get data from an XML document and I need to create a master file/hold file based on that. is there a way to do this?

yes you can do it by choosing XML Data Adapter from your WF Console then You Can Create Meta Data From that adapter but you must spicefied the XML document and its related XSD file
