I just notice that the File declaration section of a Master File Description has a typo in the value for the FILENAME attribute. Yet the focexecs still work. I couldn't find on that server a duplicate of that MFD with the correct filename value.

So, how can these focexecs run?

The filename attribute inside the MFD does NOT have to match the physical name. The physical name of the master file (and access file) is what matters. (At least this is true for non-FOCUS files.)

Just tested it with the CAR file and it doesn't make any difference in a FOCUS file either. Only the physical file name matters ( which must match the FOC file name unless you have a FILEDEF.)
