S.J. Kadishjoin or decode from date to .gif file
We have a requirement to take a YYM smart date and return a .gif calendar image to heading.
1.) Best to do this with a join, decode or some other link?
2.) Where should the .gif calendar images be stored?
3.) Any other suggestions, hints, etc.?
Thank you - Rock on FOCUS nation!

Tony AHi Sandy,
1) is subjective - how do you want to do it?
2) For PDFs store them on the reporting server under an application folder.
For HTML store them under a folder on the Web Server (or Client Server). You could place them in the folder to which IBI_HTML points as well. The fact is they must be able to be retrieved via a URL.
For Excel then you have to be able to access them via a URL as well athough I always find Excel too much trouble to bother with. Bottom line is that end Users are likely to maniputlate the data anyway and therefore don't need a picture file clogging up the worksheet.
Good luck.
