I need to pass parameters from html page to BI portal through the footing hyper URL link. Each procedure on BI portal has been used DAFAULTH to set initial value for the same parameters, however those parameters on BI portal can't get updated with new values which the html page successfully pass variable to. I have opened the case with IBI. Thanks in advance! This message has been edited. Last edited by: <Kathryn Henning>,
Is your HTML page external to WebFOCUS? If so then I think your only option (currently) is to use a cookie and then use "CopyHTTPCookieToWFVar". Search Tech Support for this to find the technique.

I just did something similar. have a portal 1 calling Portal 2. Yea I know they have the option in the links but my boss wanted it on a tab, at any rate the answer was JS inside the html page I called in the URL. The difference was that I had the user enter the variable in the second html portal 2 page. May not be your answer but it is a thought.
