I have a request from a client to schedule a RC job at 8:00AM that will execute ONLY if another job has completed. If not, then reschedule itself 20 minutes later, etc.

Any one have a solution?

The simplest method I can think of:

1) Add a post-processing procedure to the first job to write the Date/Time in a file/table.
2) Add a pre-processing procedure to the second job to check the Date/Time written by the first job. If the validation test is false - stop the process.

I'm sure you will get other suggestions.

i use francis' way and then in the second fex after the test, i use a loop with the SLEEP 600
command to wait 10 minutes and then loop back to the top and test the existence again...
i loop 10 times, and if that 1st job hasn't finished and built its signal file in 100 minutes, i just give up and go home!
