I have data stored on a mainframe IMS database. Can anyone give me an example of WebFocus calling an IMS stored procedure?

Back in FOCUS 7 days we reported directly against IMS with masters that had filetype=DL1 iirc.

I would assume you still have the same but also that DL/1 has moved on and has stored procedures.

With relational adapters you can attach a sp to a master with the IN parameters used derived from the WHERE expression entered and the OUT parameters are returned as the SQLOUT query.

I would suggest looking at the Oracle documentation and trying some of the examples there in the hope that you get lucky!

Tom,

It would help to know what your source platform is. Please update your profile signature with your product suite, release, and platform.

Assuming that your source platform is not the mainframe, I suspect that you will need some iWay software to accomplish this task. That requires a license and money. You may need to talk to your local branch.

Thank you both for your help. I've updated my profile signature and will look at the Oracle documentation.
