I have a html launch page with a drop down list (combobox) populated from a procedure and checked the 'Add "All" option'. The drop down list is populated by the procedure and includes the ALL option. This launch page calls another procedure and the &variable for the drop down list is populated with FOC_NONE when the "ALL" option is selected.
The program is supposed to do this ... If the ALL option is selected, set X = 1, else compare the &variable with the table column. If they are equal, then set X = 1 else set X = 0.
The code I tried is this ...
DEFINE FILE filename X/I3 = IF ('&variable' EQ 'FOC_NONE') THEN 1 ELSE (IF (column1 EQ &variable) THEN 1 ELSE 0); END
However if the ALL option is selected, then X becomes undefined.
Is there are a way to specify that the ALL option returns the word "ALL" or something similar, instead of, FOC_NONE? Or is there any other workaround?

yep, that's the way it works...when you talk it out, clarity strikes and you get the idea that makes it work...whatever it is. Your procedure that you use to populate your fex...you can write your own 'ALL' and 'ALL' pair (value & display) and then don't check the All option when you're building your launch page in devstu. FOC_NONE is a great idea, but it causes me such ageda that i never use it.
