Is there a way to automate the migration using Report Caster (or Webservices)? Import of files from a lower version (e.g. QA) and have Report Caster pick up the MRE and Dashboard zip files and perform the import utility?

I'm sure that you could write an operating system script to do that but I don't recommend it. I think it is important to do each step separately and check the results before moving on. Plus, if you are multi-platform, the extract is done on the old machine and ftp'd to the new machine.

And I don't think it takes that long to do it by hand.
