here in the above I want to change the code in such a way that i want to have o/p of the date fields as 22-Dec-03. For the above code i will get as 2007/03/15
These are the date fields OTLT_INST_DT OTLT_FRST_POST_DT

In the documentation for your installation, in the book "Dexcribing Data" you will find a section on "Date Display Options". On the presumtion that your data field is a YYMD format, I suggest the DMtYY format.
