I have an FML Report that posts some of its lines to the file below. TAG and CLBxx are field names. File name is PCT038H1.ftm and I have the .mas to go with it. I can TABLE FILE PCT038H1 PRINT * END nicely.

TAG | CLB01 | CLB02 | CLB03 | CLB04 | CLB05 | CLB06 | CLB07 | CLB08 | CLB09 | CLB10
R30 | 05436 | 03935 | 04852 | 06034 | 04391 | 04845 | 04845 | 04123 | 05287 | 01100
R31 | 15015 | 11126 | 12681 | 10024 | 15297 | 16382 | 16649 | 11973 | 17481 | 04760
R32 | 09905 | 09939 | 09928 | 09927 | 10259 | 09776 | 10239 | 09953 | 09985 | 26552
R34 | 08085 | 04351 | 06109 | 06004 | 06891 | 07759 | 08259 | 04913 | 09228 | 01390

I'd like to create a line graph from this data with 4 lines.
The R30 row would be one of the lines with graph points for 5436 then 3935 then 4852 etc.

I can't come up with a graph type that will work.

Any ideas.

Usually a line graph contains a series such as date or other numeric sequence. Instead of putting each of the plot points in its own field, put them all in the same field with an additional field that numbers them, thus creating a series (CLB01=1, CLB02=2, etc.)

Then each row would have its own line and be plotted across the numeric sequence.

If you have no control over the output file, you could use the MacGuyver technique (search the forum for numerous posts) to create the ten records for each row and you're off to the races.

Darin

Brian It would be much less hassle to create a multi segment master using
an occurs segment.

for example

FILENAME=mymaster, SUFFIX=FIX , $
SEGMENT=SEG1, SEGTYPE=S0, $
FIELDNAME=key, USAGE=A20, ACTUAL=A20, $
SEGMENT=SEG2, SEGTYPE=S0, PARENT=SEG1, OCCURS=10, $
FIELDNAME=FILLER, USAGE=A1, ACTUAL=A1, $
FIELDNAME=PLOTVAL, USAGE=I6, ACTUAL=A6, $

I'd need to see the exact file to tell you exactly what is needed
but that's the basics
