I would like to save a graph to a file. The filename should include the actual date. How can I do that?
Here is my acutal procedure:
DEFINE FILE MAX001DB -* DEFINE BEGIN DATEOUT DATEOUT/DMYY = HDATE(MAX001DB.SEG01.DATUM , 'DMYYYY'); -* DEFINE END DATEOUT END APP ENABLE APP HOLD maxx GRAPH FILE MAX001DB SUM MAX001DB.SEG01.A AS 'A' MAX001DB.SEG01.B AS 'B' ... ACROSS DATEOUT AS '' ON GRAPH SET LOOKGRAPH VBRSTK1 ON GRAPH SET 3D OFF ... setSeriesType(0,1); setSeriesType(1,1); setSeriesType(2,1); ... ENDSTYLE ON GRAPH SET STYLE * ENDSTYLE ON GRAPH HOLD AS graph01 FORMAT PNG END -* End Graph Assistant
Since DATE is your GRAPH ACROSS field, you will most likely have more than one date, so I can't see how the graph file name can include the date.
Here's an example of how the name of the graph file can include the first date found in the file:
-SET &ECHO=ALL;
SET HOLDLIST=PRINTONLY
-RUN
DEFINE FILE GGSALES
DATE1/YYMD = DATE;
END
-RUN
TABLE FILE GGSALES
SUM DATE
BY LOWEST 1 DATE NOPRINT
WHERE DATE1 FROM '1996/01/01' TO '1996/12/31'
ON TABLE SAVE AS H001
END
-RUN
-READ H001 &DATE.A8.
APP ENABLE
APP HOLD DEMO
-RUN
FILEDEF GRAPH01 DISK DEMO/GRAPH01_&DATE...PNG
-RUN
GRAPH FILE GGSALES
SUM
UNITS
ACROSS DATE1
WHERE DATE1 FROM '1996/01/01' TO '1996/12/31'
ON TABLE HOLD AS GRAPH01 FORMAT PNG
END
