Assuming the rounding is not an issue, which numeric field types (P, F, or D) perform the best as far as speed is concerned?

I think it will be the numeric fields that are built into the hardware of the computer, so either I, F or D.
P is not a native computer format. It is a software format, and thus will take more resources.

I would suggest going to the horses mouth, and put in a case with IBI, they wrote the code and know how each numeric field is handled.
