We are in the process of upgrading to 8.1.05 and we are hitting an issue with users upgrading to IE11 in the last few weeks.
Users who upgraded to IE11 a couple of months ago seem to be fine but these newly upgraded users can't expand a menu from the WebPage or Portal. The Mouse turn into a black circle with a line through it and freezes. If you immediately click the right mouse button after clicking the left mouse button to expand the menu then this seems to prevent it from freezing.
Anybody else on 8.1.05 and in the process of upgrading to IE11 see this odd behavior. I have a case opened with IBI but I am not sure if it's an "IBI compatibility issue" or if its Windows/IE11 update causing the issue. This message has been edited. Last edited by: rogerwilkouk,
We finally solved this. It was a banking software that had been downloaded to certain users computers which had added an extra layer of security. We overcame this by turning on enterprise mode in IE11 at the sign-on page and now the menu's expand and collapse normally.. Hopefully this will help something who is tearing their hair out with IE11
"Enterprise Mode, a compatibility mode that runs on Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 8.1 Update and Windows 7 devices, lets websites render using a modified browser configuration that’s designed to emulate either Windows Internet Explorer 7 or Windows Internet Explorer 8, avoiding the common compatibility problems associated with web apps written and tested on older versions of Internet Explorer." - https://technet.microsoft.com/...t-is-enterprise-mode
It's too bad that the solution to a lot of issues is to downgrade IE11.
