Hi there,
Is it possible to see that how many lines has been printed by any procedure?

I want to keep the sum of the lines that a procedure will print? Is there any paramater that holds this value?

If you want to use it after the report runs; you can use &LINES

TABLE FILE CAR
PRINT MODEL
END
-RUN
-IF &LINES EQ 0 GOTO NOLINES;
...

infact i want to use that value in other table that i created in sql server.
That's why i need to get that value as a column or a paramater. So i can send that value to sql server.
is it possible to do that?

yes; if you have a stored procedure that updates your table, you just pass it as another parm when calling the proc:

-SET &SQLPARMS = '''' | &REPORT_ID | ''',' | &LINES ;

-MRNOEDIT BEGIN
SQL EX dbo.update_proc &SQLPARMS ;
...

or if you are using MAINTAIN you just use &LINES in that ...

hth,

drew
