I was wondering if anyone knew if there is a control anywhere that allows you to control whether or not the Report Assistant opens up a new window when firing off a report, or if it will always use the same window as the last report that was ran.

A little background. At my shop we are moving our users from utilizing the MRE to utilizing the BID. When working from the MRE when you hit run it will always pop up a new window. In the BID it will reuse the same window when you hit run. Does anyone know of something that I can adjust that when you hit run from the BID will always pop up a new window?

Sayed, Thanks for pointing me to that article. I didn't realize that there was a preference area in the My Views view. I am going to explore this a little more. Currently we do not allow our users to use my views because of some security issues we ran into due to the organization of our domains. We are currently in the process of reevaluating the usefulness of the my views page.

For now I am going to dig through the doc pages a little bit more though, because what I would like to do is change the default on that option so that it starts with always opening a new window.
