[CLOSED] conditional positioning of component reports in a compound PDF report
Hi all,

I have a compound PDF report. I have 5 component reports in that. The 2nd report starts after the 1st report, 3rd report starts after the 2nd report and so on. Everything works fine. I need to improve the report a little bit. If the 2nd report ALMOST fills the 2nd page, 3rd report should start in the 3rd page. It should not start in the very little remaining space left after the 2nd report in the 2nd page. Did anyone do that ? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Shravan

Is this a co-ordinated compound report ?, i.e. COMPOUND LAYOUT.

You can reserve a minimum amount of space for each report.

Other than that, I don't like your chances.

Waz,

This is a coordinated compound report. I can't reserve space for each report, because users want the whole report to be compact (no spaces between reports). There has to be some way ! Music

You should be able to use the reserved space, but you will need to work out the minimum space for, say, the headings, titles and footings, this way if there is one line of data it will append, otherwise it will go to the new page.

I have done this, but it is very tricky.
