Does anyone know what we can do in order to display Japanese characters in pdf output? I know that WebFOCUS is returning the correct characters because HTML output displays correctly. When it is written to a PDF is where we run into problems.

Adobe only uses fonts that are registered with their program so you have to add individual fonts as necessary.

Use the search function above for "pdf fonts" and you should find mention on how to add them such as in this post
