To me, FML reports seem the ideal candidate for EXL2K FORMULA because of FML inter-row and inter-column calculations, but EXL2K FORMULA is not compatible with FML. Does anyone else thing this is a sorely lacking feature?

Is the only alternative to EXL2K FORMULA an Excel template? While I look for real documentation on EXL2K TEMPLATE (which I have not yet had the opportunity to use), does it always require a two-tab spreadsheet to work, one with the styling and formulas and one for WebFOCUS to fill? Can it not work with a one-tab spreadsheet with WebFOCUS filling in the blank cells and the rest taken care of by the template?

As well, I've seen a few interesting threads about using x:fmla to insert a formula in an Excel spreadsheet. Has anyone successfully used this in an FML report?

Thanks,

Francis,

Yes It must always have atleast 2 tabs and both sheets must have contents in at least 1 cell even if it's a space and the template must be created in Excel 2003 even if the endusers run 2007

Using x:fmla works however as mentioned in the other post on the topic it inserts a blank column

I've requested an NFR for EXL2K FORMULA to be compatible with FML. I'll see where this gets me!
