How do I make the filters available on the Hold File.
I have created a cluster synonym in which I have defines and also have set the filter parameters. Now I am creating a HOLD file off of the cluster and I am not seeing the filters that I have selected at the Metadata level.
Please help. Thank you in Advance. This message has been edited. Last edited by: FP Mod Chuck,
"Filters" are the results of variables being -DEFAULTed or not declared at all in the report, chart, etc, which is TABLEing against a synonym.
I think that what you really want is a Reporting Object (RO). The RO can be setup to 'embed' the filters or prompts as desired and users can build their reports directly from any RO that is available to them.
Check out Reporting Objects, they're work their weight in, virtual, gold.

Once you create a HOLD file it has it's own master file and the Filters are not part of it only the field attributes of what was saved to the HOLD file.
Thank you for using Focal Point!
