Confused

This shows a DEFINE spanning 2 lines:

DEFINE FILE CAR
-* Two lines?
NEW_COL/A50 WITH CAR =
                      COUNTRY;
END
TABLE FILE CAR
PRINT CAR AND NEW_COL
END

But I doubt that's the requirement.

What exactly does the report writer need? Can you mock something up as to what results are expected preferably using data from the CAR table?

I found an example here that I think will work for them. thanks so much. here is what I found.
DEFINE FILE CAR
CR/A1 = HEXBYT(13, 'A1');
LF/A1 = HEXBYT(10, 'A1');
CRLF/A2 = CR || LF;
ABC1/A5 = EDIT (COUNTRY, '99999');
ABC2/A10 = EDIT (COUNTRY, '$$$$$9999999999');
ABC3/A30 = ABC1 || CRLF || ABC2 ;
END

TABLE FILE CAR
PRINT
ABC3
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT EXL2K
END

This solution will be very subjective of the the output format.

Is it Excel or something else ?
