I have followed the tips provided on discussion “EXCEL spreadsheet as input file”, and get the ODBC connection work to read EXCEL as my input file at my Developer Studio localhost project. However, our project server is on mainframe zOS(with HFS), there I need to use the Excel file to join other FOCUS tables. Is there any way I can read EXCEL and perform JOIN on mainframe server? our server is 7.7.03This message has been edited. Last edited by: <Kathryn Henning>,
Emily, Check whether WF7703 on ZOS has a direct interface to EXCEL. If it doesn't then you are left with creating a txt or prn file from your EXCEL and writing the MASTER for it manually. If you need help for this, post a couple of lines of your EXCEL.
