I have searched the forum and have come across quite a few threads regarding this problem, but no matter what I try, I cannot get this to work. I have a column title with a really long name so the column width in Excel ends up being really wide (whether I put the commas in the title name to wrap it or not). I cannot get WRAP or SQUEEZE to work in the style sheet (whether I put the commas in the title or not). Please help. This is so frustrating. Below, I put the scenario in the CAR file.
Thanks so much,
Krysti

I do not believe that the WRAP or SQUEEZE syntax can be transferred to Excel, as column width is a function that is specifically managed by Excel. You could try using an Excel template or seeing if the -HTMLFORMTYPE (referenced in several postings) would afford you any added functionality. Try a search on those and see if you can find any additional useful information.

Darin

Yup. There you go. I don't use EXL2K as much so not that familiar with its use. Should have noticed, hewever, that you should be using TYPE=REPORT instead of TITLE or DATA.This message has been edited. Last edited by: Darin Lee,

Please put your release in your signature. There were issues with this very thing in the early versions of 7.6.x that were fixed by 7.6.2. If you are running 7.6.1, I can get you a case number to reference.
Darin is also correct in that TYPE=REPORT is the preferred syntax.

Can we get that case number? We're converting to WF 7.6.1 and are running into this WRAP issue with a large text field that we output to PDF. Seems to wrap, but not the full width of the page like it does in WF 5 that we're coming from.

woo hoo! This also solved my problem! I've got a report that's not very wide, and my logo at the top-left was colliding with my header. By using TYPE=REPORT,COLUMN=N1,WRAP=X I was able to stretch my report out so the logo would fit!
