Hello, I am wanting to add some functionality to a .fex file which gathers four or five pieces of data, which are user inputs passed to the .fex (username, month, year) and also the name of the .fex. I then want to write that data to a record in a table along with a date/time stamp. Basically gathering usage statistics for my .fex.
I'm a relatively new user and have not attempted to write records to a table in such a manner. Coming from a VBA background, this seems like a relatively simple thing which could be accomplished in just a couple lines of code. Can someone provide an example of how to accomplish this in a .fex?
Thanks in advance for your help! This message has been edited. Last edited by: manglum,
We have a product called Maintain that has a complete front end and back end. If you only want to pass the data into the FEX Maintain can retrieve it and use an INCLUDE statement to save it to the database. There is also the Maintain Development Environment that creates forms to collect data. Adding a time stamp, in either case, is easy.
