We have a dashboard that accepts start and end dates, one or more topics, and returns a report in a frame. (FEX)Report contains an hyperlink that is supposed to retain the dates and topics. However, the URL is getting truncated at 77 or 78 characters.
Additionally, running this fex in Developer Studio (using Run icon) yields an error: "Unknown error occurred. Agent on reporting server EDASERVE may have crashed. Please investigate reporting server log." Running the dashboard returns correct results (based on params), hyperlinked report yields full report (no params retained).
Any direction is appreciated...

Its the .QUOTEDSTRING, it doesn't do what you might think it does or might want it to do.(not that that's a bad thing ) If you do a view source on your report, before you click on a drilldown, and look at one of the hyperlinks, you'll see that there are in fact NO quotes around the &CTGY_DESC.QUOTEDSTRING. There are a couple of routes to take. Lets say you use the CAR file and wanted &COUNTRY.QUOTEDSTRING and the country was 'W GERMANY' 1) you could change your filter IF COUNTRY IS &COUNTRY.QUOTEDSTRING would work or.. 2) you could change your variable -DEFAULT &COUNTRY = 'ENGLAND'; -SET &MYCOUNTRY = '''' | &COUNTRY | '''' ; and your filter IF COUNTRY IS &MYCOUNTRY and your drildown TYPE=DATA,COLUMN=CAR,FOCEXEC=&DD0(COUNTRY = &MYCOUNTRY CAR=CAR ) ,$ Now if you view source on your primary report, you'll see quotes around your &MYCOUNTRY value, and your url won't croak on the first blank space if the &MYCOUNTRY value has 2+ words in it. Let us know if you're ok from here. -S.This message has been edited. Last edited by: susannah,
