[Solved] Any way to automatically redirect to the correct MR view, with Multipl
We have multiple Managed Reporting / BID group views. Is there any way to redirect a user to the proper group view without having the user individually choose which view they would like to see from the “Available Views” pop up window?

The key to this is that in one context the user should go to their default view, in another context they would go to a different view.

Ideally, from a corporate intranet page, we’d like to have two links – one that goes directly to their current default view, and another link that goes directly to WebFOCUS PMF. Both are on the same WebFOCUS instance.
Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure you can have BID behave in two different ways, but this documentation tells you how to have the user login to the one view he/she has access to:

WebFOCUS Managed Reporting Administrator's Manual, Version 7 Release 6.1 and Higher > 5) Creating Public and Group Views > Directing Users to a Group View Upon Login

Give me code, or give me retirement. In FOCUS since 1991

Thanks Francis,

I looked through “WebFOCUS Managed Reporting Administrator's Manual, Version 7 Release 6.1 and Higher.” Specifically on p. 92 it states:

"Users can access the group views that are accessible to them by logging on to Dashboard and clicking the Views link. Alternatively, you can give users one URL that directs them to a specific group."

Based on this excerpt, it sounds like we can set up two different URLs, one for each group.

Does anyone have any experience with this and can lend some pointers how to do this?

Thanks in advance.

During times like this, I just trace the servlet requests to get the exact url that is required.

Try that.

to call the URL directly, the URL will look something like this:

http://servername:8080/ibi_app/Controller?WORP_REQUEST_TYPE=WORP_CHANGE_VIEW&WORP_MPV=ap_gbv
