I built a test server and migrated the basedir from productuin to the test server. I had a user log into the test server and found that the user could view reports where 'show on user's list' was not checked.
Is there a setting I have missed?

I first tried to migrate using the 'managed reporting extract utility' but it kepts throwing errors. Since my WebFOCUS version was the same, I copied the basedir and tranfered it to the test.
Did I do it right? Is it even recommended? Did I copy everything I needed to?
I would say that is would be UNSAFE just to copy the basedir directory and expect it to work correctly. What you're seeing is probably a symptom of an incorrect migration. Additionally, if you're using ReportCaster, this will not work. They have documented how to migrate/upgrade an MRE repository pretty well and you should definitely stick to that. If it's throwing an error, then there is some other problem that exists (missing Java location or something like that) that should NOT be ignored either.

Darin
