When creating a compund report with the HTML Layout tool, the tool will autoformat any HTML code that you have written within the code editor, (and quite terribly). Within other IDE environments such as visual studio you can turn off this autoformat feature. I was wondering if this is a possibility with the HTML layout painter as well...
Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to turn this off. Whenever you make changes to the HTML page through the HTML Layout Painter, changes are automatically made to the actual HTML code and format it.
A possible workaround would be to code by hand, just like quite some of our customers do, instead of use the Layout Painter.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Kerry
