I am looking for some kind of guidelines to create the reporting template based on the business view and then create the multiple reports based on the template. Any demo will be great.
That's a little broad. Can you give a more specific example of what you have and what you're trying to do?
Regards,
Darin

I had seen an example on user forum meeting IBI representative was showing creating multiple reports from the report template which is based on the business view. Tried to find the on the IBI site for the demo no luck, if anybody has implemented or example to share with me will be great help.
Are you talking about parameterized reporting? I'm not quite sure what you mean by a "business view" but I don't think parameterized reporting necessarily has anything to do with a business view, but it could be built however you want.

Darin

Business views are new in 76 which neither you nor Viral have so I'm not sure what Viral is talking about. Business views allow you to build a subset of a master specific to an application problem. Haven't used it though.
Viral, you might want to mention if this is MRE or self-service.
Yes, Business views are new in the 76. But you can create the business view in the Developer studio, not sure about the MRE, but this may be available in the MRE so that analytical users can create the their report based on the business view and may be Darin may be right it is parameterized reports where you give the choice of summation fields, dimensions (by fields), print fields, Sort options and output options of the report.
Business views are alternate master files. They can hide fields, rename fields, and reorganize the logical view of fields (think folders with fields instead of physical segments). They can be created only with master file tools. .. Some accounts also use Reporting Objects to do something similar. A RO can JOIN different sources, do defines, and even have fixed WHERE clauses that the end user can not remove. But that facility does not allow for a "reshaped" master file. You can use the two together. You could use a business view to change the shape of the master, but use the reporting object to lock in WHERE clauses, JOINS, and even filedefs.
