Is anyone using Serena Dimensions 12 with WEbFOCUS 8?

Does anyone have any experience (with any version of WebFOCUS) using GIT

This is a friendly follow up regarding your Serena Dimensions question.

There is a New Feature Request in the Product Division to implement this source control.

If you would like to open a case at IBI Technical Support case management then you will be notified once this becomes part of a future release. Ask that your case be attached to the NFR.

As far as GIT is concerned IBI does support this source control. Here are a few links that should help you out.

1. Source Code Control is NOT YET supported in AppStudio- that support will start in release 8.2x, correct?

2. Will Source Control in AppStudio be limited to the client tier only (as in DevStudio), or will it also include the server tier?

1. Yes, you're correct in that Source Control is not yet supported in AppStudio. Support will start in release 8.2x.

2. When implemented, Source Control in AppStudio will only be configurable on the middle tier.

Kathryn, thanks for the update. I believe there is at least one NFR for source control on the server tier- can you tell if that is planned for the 8.2x track ?

Yes, there is an NFR currently in programming for this functionality which is targeted for 82xx. If you would like to be included with the NFR, please open a case on InfoResponse Online and mention this topic.
