does anyone know if you can set a default reply to: address in the rcaster distribution e mail and either grey it out or hide it.

You mean you want to just have something there for RC to use without having to enter it every time (or get the "Missing reply to address" pop-up message)? I've never seen anything to allow the possibility, but it IS a little annoying.

In my version 7.6.4 you can set a default Reply To address in the Report Caster Configuration options.
It is on the first tab in the configuration "General" under "Default Settings", as "Default Mail Reply Address".

We have it set as a dummy address:
DoNotReply@mycompany.com


(Prod: WebFOCUS 7.7.03: Win 2008 & AIX hub/Servlet Mode; sub: AS/400 JDE; mostly Self Serve; DBs: Oracle, JDE, SQLServer; various output formats)

you can use Distribution - general iformation -send all report as attachments: Message
when you create new schedule.

I still would like to not to allow the user to change the reply to address. they have the from why does IBI use reply to and from are they not the same?

We use the from to indicate that the report is system generated and the reply is our help desk.

I don't think he means "form" but "from address".

We do the same thing, the From Address is a dummy system address and the reply to address is our helpdesk.

sorry I missed read but the user can still change the reply to. Is there a way to grey it out or not allow the user to change this address

Do you need to be notified in case of error? If not, you can choose NEVER send notifications on the tab "Setting"
