I found this in a case on techsupport...
the plug-in was designed for release 7 and requires
references to 'Domain hrefs' in the zipencrypt.txt file. The plug-in is
supported in 8 but it is tied to a 7.x model and I don't think any customer is
using it. I would not recommend you teach this.
On the other hand, the distribution file example that John gave in the case is
very simple and can be used out of the box without any additional product
configuration and it does not disable any other distribution options.
If you don't want to use a "distribution file" you can show the same feature
using a "dynamic distribution list".
The recommended way to accomplish this with version 8 is below
I think the best way to encrypt a zip in ReportCaster is to use a
distribution file.
To specify a password for Zip output distribution, include the following
statement to enable encryption and record format:
#encryption enabled
distributiondestination,burstvalue,password,$
See page 165 of the ReportCaster Release 8.1 Version 03, January 30, 2015
manual, DN4501453.0215
Here is the contents of a file I recently used for this (pass.txt)
#encryption enabled
john_cullen@ibi.com,,abcd,$
