Hi All,

Am having a strange issue here.
I have 3 list boxes, with multi select in each and all the three are chained to each other.
So the selection in one box populates the data in the next list box on HTML layout painter.Data in the list boxes are from fexes.
Am able to populate data, chain them, but the problem is, with 'ALL' option.
When I click 'ALL' on list box1, then everything should populate in the list box2, which is not happening.
List box1 & list box2 is functional for all other values except 'ALL'.
Also, here 'ALL' is coming from a Fex file and not from 'Add ALL option' on the HTML page.
Have been through many earlier post, but didnt find any which addresses the 'ALL' Option

change the value 'ALL' to 'foc_none' in the fex of list box2

(i.e)
-IF &varfex2 EQ 'ALL' THEN 'foc_none' ELSE '&varfex2'

this code should be included in the FEX of the list box2

Thanks Krish,

I have done exactly the same thing in the listbox2 fex, it is working perfectly fine when just the fex is run saperately, but doesnt when the fex is attached to the list box2

If you read other posts on the Forum then you would realise that when ALL is selected the value of 'FOC_NONE' is passed as the variable value. In your fex you will have a line something like WHERE fieldname EQ '&Variable'. Because the value for &Variable is interpreted as 'FOC_NONE' the where clause is ignored, effectively giving you all records.

To test that your fex is working OK with FOC_NONE do the substitution yourself by running the fex manually. You should see all the values that you expect.

I always provide a -DEFAULT &Variable = 'FOC_NONE' at the top of all my chain fexes to ensure that, even if no value gets passed, the fex will always function as I require it to.
