I'm running a report, format HTML, which has about 100 across fields. To save space on the page, I use the "flip" technique suggested at the Focal point Summit 2007 i.e.

JOBTITLE/A130 = '
'|JOB_TITLE|'
'

This technique works perfectly. However when I try to use the field value in my Drill Down :
TYPE=DATA,ACROSSCOLUMN=EMPNUMBER,FOCEXEC=DETAILS (JOB_TITLE=JOB_TITLE),$
I get all the "
Any suggestions on how to flip a title without having to redefine the field?

I'm not sure if this would work, but try this

TABLE FILE XXX
SUM AA
BY BB
ACROSS JOB_TITLE NOPRINT
ACROSS JOBTITLE

When you create the across drill down, use the first across field.
Because of the code you used to flip it is in fact an other field.

Hi atc12345,

Here is the article that you may want to check it for details: Rotating Column Text Title

Many thanks for Frank's help as well.

To all: FYI, the techniques presented at Summit 2007 are also posted on the Tips and Techniques section: http://www.informationbuilders.com/support/developers/index.html

Hope this helps. Smiler

Cheers,

Kerry
