I am able to store ReportCaster output on SharePoint by including an email address that represents the SharePoint location. Is there any way to then send only an email notification to users to let them know that they can access the report on SharePoint, but not include the report in the notification email? You can use report bursting option for this, provided output format. You need to ensure custom text placed in HTML/Excel/PDF outputs that are sent to end users with 1 burst value and actual data(sharepoint) to be assigned different burst value.
If you ask me the feasibility, then YES its possible in WebFOCUS using Bursting.
