[SHARING] URL links to MRE reports
Hi,
We created the launch pages to IBI procedures in MRE and now want to publish the links to these html pages on our company web site.
What is the best way to publish these links and
achieve the MRE security?

Thanks,
DD

Sounds like you're trying to do two things that mutually exclude each other. In order to get MRE security you either have to use MRE or create your own external security model that duplicated MRE. Publishing a link to an MRE report requires additional parameters from the launch page - including IBIMR_drill=RUNNID which allows you to execute MRE procedures outside of the MRE environment. Unfortunately, this "disallows" the MRE security (or allows it to be bypassed) thus requiring some other type of security to be in place over it. The easiest way would be to create a dashboard that just contains the links to the desired reports. That way you are still within the MRE environment (requiring a login) and limiting certain reports to certain users, but without the standard MRE interface.

I'm sure there are other ways, but like I mentioned, you're trying to bypass security on one hand while keeping it intact on the other. That's making things difficult.

Darin

Company external or Intranet site?

If the reports are intended for Internals, I'd look into IWA assuming WF Client is using IIS. Or maybe AD for authetication.
For Authorization, WebFOCUS or RealmDriver. There are many options,.. look into the security manual.

For external users, you will need to think about how you'll get the user's credentials. Are they required to log into the company site? If so, that info can be passed to WF via ASP or other form of scripting.

Thanks,

Thanks for the reply. We are publishing these reports to the external users and they login to our site using LDAP credentials.
