I have created some reporting objects in the MRE that are inteneded to be used as Reporting Objects for the users to create their own reports. When I log into the MRE and try to use the Report Assitant on the object it opens the window but the list of fields will not populate.
I am on WebFocus 5.2.3 and using Java version 1.5.0 from Java Technology (Java 2 Platform) which appears to be running the applet to make this window work.
also make sure you CHECK your master file descriptions; sometimes a typo or mis-spec in an mfd intended to be used as a Reporting Object will prevent the object from displaying. In MRE, in Domain Builder, click right on the name of the reporting object, and select RUN. You should get an EDA no data, which is a good sign. If not, you've got an error in the specification somewhere.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to check all of that. We have had our local IBI contact in and he checked it briefly and thought it was probably something with the version of the Java components but I have no firm answers at this point.
I will have to check the master as well to see if it my own issue with how I created it. I did get a bunch of Java errors in a log file on my desktop but didn't really put 2-and-2 together and deleted it.
I'll post back up when I've got it working again althoug it has become a lower priority at this time.
