I am testing WF 7.7.03, and when I try to run a report through Managed Reporing, I am getting an invalid login/username error. Therefore, I'm not getting any output. I understand WF is not connecting to my Oracle database, but I'm not sure where the correction needs to be made. Any thoughts/suggestions would be very helpful.

You probably have a configuration issue in your Oracle adapter.
Try opening the master file you're using in that procedure directly from the Reporting Server using the Synonym Editor and get some "Sample Data". I assume you're using Developer Studio.
If you get the same error (which is think you will) just click the "Access File Text View" tab to Take a look at the access file (*.acx) associated with that master file and check the CONNECTION= property.
With that value in mind, go to the WebFOCUS Reporting Server Console (WebConsole) and under Adapters > Configured > Oracle (applicable version), look for that connection in the list, right-click it and select "Test" from the context menu.
If you still get the same error (which will likely be the case) just double-click that connection and adjust user/password settings as appropriate.
Thank you for your response. Please forgive me, I'm am actually pretty new to WebFocus, and this is my first attempt at installing an upgrade. There was no "connection" parameter in any of the .acx files I looked at.
In the Web Console, I am using password passthru for the connection to my data server. Should I define that as a trusted or explicit connection instead? I actually just copied the settings from our current WF version. I am able to run some reports successfully, but not reports with budgetary information.

Leanne, this depends on what security settings are available on the Oracle side.
The easiest one to configure and the one I always use is "Explicit connection" where you provide a connection name (TNS entry at the Oracle client level), user and password. This must exist in the Oracle database, must be able to create an Oracle session and must have enough privileges to query the tables you're going after. You may need some DBA support on that.
However, something I don't understand is that the .acx file is lacking connection information ... unless there is a "default connection" in WebFOCUS somewhere which would be news for me.
Can you take a look at any of the .acx files that actual work?
Strangely enough, when I looked at other .acx files, I found no connection info in any of them.
Here's what I am getting when I look at my log files:
02/09/2012 09:02:23.383 I accepting cmrpip000004 tcp=155.47.64.223:1057 02/09/2012 09:02:23.383 I request by cmrpip000004 from NGXXJ770 for explicit connect to agent (DEFAULT), session=uwxufpbsh8tc 02/09/2012 09:02:23.383 I connecting cmrpip000004 tscomid=1,sesid=3
I'm assuming it's translating me as NGXXJ770, but that is not my username. And, I'm the only one testing this server, so it has to be me. Any further assistance is greatly appreciated.
