I have a report, with a field (Sales) that we have created 'visualization' over with a bar graph.

The problem is one of our rows has a Sales figure that is ridiculously higher than the rest of the records, so only a bar graph shows up for that field.

What we would like to do is show this row, but not include a visualized bar graph for it's sales amount. Is there any way to do this?

Before there was "data visualization" there was the BAR function.

DEFINE FILE CAR
SALESA/D10 = IF COUNTRY EQ 'W GERMANY' THEN 0 ELSE SALES / 1000;
END

TABLE FILE CAR
SUM
SALES/D10
COMPUTE SALES_BAR/A50 = BAR(50, SALESA, 50, '|', 'A50');

BY COUNTRY

ON TABLE SET STYLE *
TYPE=DATA, COLUMN=SALES_BAR, COLOR=BLUE, $
END

Cool, Francis!

I'm a little concerned that if I create a define that sets sales = 0 for the 'bar' then it will also show sales as a 0.

I want to show the sales amount, but not have it considered in the data visualization.

Sorry for the confusion! wow, that bar function is pretty sweet though. lots more options than just selecting and going "visualize"

The BAR is applied on the Defined field SALESA, but the SALES field is displayed.
