WHERE on a HOLD file

hi Smiler
basically, right now i have a hold file, and then i do some dialong manager commands on it. to parse the data. If the hold file is blank it breaks down on me.

is it possible to do the following:

WHERE [hold hile] is more than 1 line THEN do_this?
