[CLOSED] Read the MS Outlook Calendar
Has anyone created an app which can read the MS Outlook calendar?

I'd like to be able to report from it (selected fields), with a Launch Page to filter dates, subjects, etc. And, I would really hate to reinvent the wheel on this one. I'm really not looking for a hand-out. So, Here I am reaching out for pointers. But, if someone is willing to pass on something, then I'll take it.

Thanks in advance,
Doug

Don't know if IBI has an adapter for that.

I knew someone that pulled stuff from Exchange with VBscript, and then reported on it.

VBScript may be an option, assuming it can acces the outlook calendar.

Perhaps checking some MS forums on techniques. Once the data is out, then it should be quite easy.

Thanks Waz,

I can report on an "Export" from Outlook. I'll have to come up with something (on my ouw time) to read Outlook directly.

I'll always be open to hear some pointers on this matter...

Doug --

You might want to look into Exchange Web Service API EWS Managed API 1.0.

Our university is in the process of moving from Lotus Notes to Office 365 for our mail and calendaring. As part of the move, I dug up an open-source add-on for Mozilla Thunderbird's calendar (Lightning), which is Exchange 2007/2010 provider using EWS. If they can interface with the Outlook calendar, you can do it.

Don't know if you have Web Services adapter on your WebFOCUS environment, but it looks promising for what you want.

Thanks Dan,

What I am looking for is a total WebFOCUS application. I'll see if I can work with a coordinated effort between WebFOCUS and any Web Services adapters available.

Thanks, Doug
