We just upgraded our servers to Windows XP and our office to Office 2003. Ever since that was done when a report is outputed to Excel 2K and we try to Save it, a pop up box comes up that tries to make you log into our WebServer, you can click cancel and save the report, but none of the buttons on the save screen work (new file, desktop, back) the drop down does work though. I am sure it is a Microsoft issue, and I did search on the forum and found a couple of things but neither worked out.This message has been edited. Last edited by: Kerry,
Further research showed that this is a Microsoft problem. The problem has to do with methods that the Microsoft Office 2002/2003 Protocol Discovery uses when opening a web document.
To prevent the prompt for credentials when saving web documents either of the following two solutions can be applied:
1) Allow browse access on the Web Server alias used to retrieve the document. This permission may also be required on the root ("/") alias.

2) Add a registry entry on each client machine which overrides the default DOCUMENT SAVE path. For details, go to:
