I have not found a ReportCaster 4.3.6 configuration diagram, in any of the manuals or Best Practices, other than the SQL Repository and FOCUS Database Server diagrams.
Specifically, I am trying to see where the following components would reside. - The ReportCaster Interface - The ReportCaster Console
I see one, in the 5.2.1 manuals, but we are not ready to go there, yet.
ReportCaster Interfaces are applet based in 436. The applets reside on the web server and are dynamically downloaded to the user's browser. The ReportCaster Applet interface calls a Servlet on the application server that reads and writes information to the ReportCaster repository.
ReportCaster Console is HTML pages. They also reside on the web server. The ReportCaster console communicates to a Servlet on the application server that communicates to the ReportCaster Distribution Server.
