We are in the process of upgrading from WF 5.3.3 to WF 7.1.4 , we are using the BID , but after the migration , once we login to a groupview we can't start a report anymore with a single click , it always shows a right-click menu that contains the options run , run deferred ...etc , only if we then click on run , the report launches .
In Production 5.3.3. we can just launch a report on a single click ., i'm sure this was customized back then, but i can't find any documents on it.
Any clues?

Single click is down to a value within the personal.xml for the view. As each user inherits this file when they first use the view then this propogates it to each user in turn. As each user then personalises their Dashboard view their own personal.xml file will be changed.
So armed with this info, you will have to decide how to get this single click action either 1. Get every user that requires this function to personalise their own dashboard to enable it. 2. Remove each user's personal.xml using the "remove user" tool within the dashboard view admin (view builder) and then change the views own personal.xml file so that it propogates out as each user logs on.
I suppose that the question you need to ask is "how many / much have users personalised their dashboard?"
Good luck

In 5.3.3. every user can start a report with a single click.
So what you are saying is that i have to change the personal.xml of the views ?
what exactly do i have to change within the personal.xml?

Not sure how 5.3.3 was configured etc. and when we moved from 5.3.2 to 7.1.3 we have no "real" MRE users active so they hadn't got to play with the dashboard.
However, the setting you need to change - and normal warnings and excuses apply (take adequate backups and don't hold me responsible for your changes!! etc.) - is the one within the personal.xml file under SETTINGS which should currently be -
enableHoverMenu="false"
change it to
enableHoverMenu="true"
In 7.1.3 the menu appears when the cursor hovers over the report in the domain tree but a sinlge click on the report will execute it.
Good luck

Have just noticed that this setting doesn't exist in the personal.xml file for a view only for a user, so you might want to check whether it is safe to add this attribute to a view so that it is propogated to new view users.

Yeah , i also just noticed that , although when changed it on my personal.xml , it worked
But this just a step closer , cause now in 5.3.3. users don't even see that hover menu
any idea how that is done?

I guess via java and then the javascripts in "ibi_html/javaassist/worp/js/menu".
I think 5.3.2 showed the menus when this setting was applied, just like in 7.1.3, but I can't test it as we no longer have an install of 5.3.2 dashboard.

Apparently the worp_menu.jsp in the ibi_html/javaassist/worp/js/menu folder was customized , i copied the jsp file into the 7.1.4 and now it works like a charm !!!!
Thanks for all your help
