Date Format
I need today's date in Alpha form. I am using the below function but its returning 04/11/2007. I want April, 11, 2007. Any ideas?
And it has to be alphanumeric!

DATE/A12=TODAY(DATE);

Tracie,

-SET &TODAY_DT = DATETRAN(DATECVT(&YYMD, 'I8YYMD', 'DMYY'), '(MDYY)', '(trD)', 'EN', 20, 'A20') ;

For a DEFINE

TODAY_DT/A20 = DATETRAN(DATECVT(&YYMD, 'I8YYMD', 'DMYY'), '(MDYY)', '(trD)', 'EN', 20, 'A20') ;

Tracie,

Make sure there is a comma after &YYMD, I copied incorrectly...

Tracie,

This works fine here at UNCG. I just ran it. Paste your fex in and I will BOLD the code.

-SET &TODAY_DT = DATETRAN(DATECVT(20070411, 'I8YYMD', 'DMYY'), '(MDYY)', '(trD)', 'EN', 20, 'A20') ;
-TYPE April 11, 2007
April 11, 2007
-EXIT

Tracie,

I know you know, that I know, that you know, etc...

-SET PAGE=NOLEAD

s/b

SET PAGE=NOLEAD

Not a Dialogue Manager command, take the dash out, and, all is well...

Also, down in your last DEFINE:

TODAY_DT/A20 = DATETRAN(DATECVT(&YYMD, 'I8YYMD', 'DMYY'), '(MDYY)', '(trD)', 'EN', 20, 'A20') ;

Tom

BaddaBing!!!

BTW, I'm not a Spartan fan, my family has had season tickets, since 1933, on the 48 yrad-line of another college that I attended.

Last year, I had the Michigan game(UGH!!), this year Boston College:

Rally sons of Notre Dame:
Sing her glory and sound her fame,
Raise her Gold and Blue
And cheer with voices true:
Rah, rah, for Notre Dame
We will fight in ev-ry game,
Strong of heart and true to her name
We will ne'er forget her
And will cheer her ever
Loyal to Notre Dame

Cheer, cheer for old Notre Dame,
Wake up the echoes cheering her name,
Send a volley cheer on high,
Shake down the thunder from the sky.
What though the odds be great or small
Old Notre Dame will win over all,
While her loyal sons are marching
Onward to victory.

Go IRISH!!!

Go Charlie!!!
