hi, I need to calculate the column total of a particular field in CSV format.I tried with this command 'ON TABLE COLUMN-TOTAL' which did not work. Are there any other ways of doing this?
Totals and subtotals do not go into hold files The way to add a total line to a file is to append it.
FILEDEF CSVFILE DISK CSVFILE.FTM (APPEND -RUN TABLE FILE CAR SUM DEALER_COST RETAIL_COST BY CAR ON TABLE HOLD AS CSVFILE FORMAT COMMA END -RUN TABLE FILE CAR SUM COMPUTE TOTAL/A16='Total'; AS 'CAR' DEALER_COST RETAIL_COST ON TABLE HOLD AS CSVFILE FORMAT COMMA ON TABLE SET HOLDLIST PRINTONLY ON TABLE SET ASNAMES ON END -RUN
