We are now in production on 5.3.3 , and we have 7.6.2 in test , Is it worth going from 7.6.2 to 7.6.4 first or is 7.6.2 more stable , and if it is worth doing to upgrade , does take much effort to upgrade ?

If I were you, I'd take the list of items fixed after 762 and check it to see if there is any fix implemented for something that you are currently using. If that is the case, then it would probably be worthwhile to go to 764. If there is nothing much in the list that you need, then I would stay with the 762 that you are running your tests with.

Any other idea is of course just as valid.

Since 7.6.4 is a 'patch' release more or less, I'd say go to it and do all your testing. You are taking a big leap. We are still coverting production reports from 5.3.6 to 7.6.x and some interesting 'errors' are showing up. An example, after much pulling of hair, turns out a perfectly legal where clause in 5.3.6 was crashing the 7.6.2 and the 7.6.4 versions. Had to rewrite it.

We had a few issues with 7.6.2 (I *think* there were some problems with creating Masters from a CSV and a few others). So far 7.6.4 has been working pretty well.

At our last user group meeting, Gerry said that 7.6.4 is more stable. Certainly don't see any reason why you wouldn't want to go to 7.6.4 for the client and server.

From what our admin said, the upgrade from 7.6.2 is painless.
