[SOLVED] Dev Studio: Location of "Environments" file
I'm having a mental block today - I can't remember the location of the file that contains the configuration of the Environments defined in Dev Studio. I tried searching on the forum but my search terms are too vague.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Hi Francis,

Are you talking about wfscom.xml
If yes ..it is located in the following path
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Information Builders
But the folder AppData is hidden by default.

thanks

Sashanka,

Thanks for the quick response.

I'm on Windows 8 and I just found it using Agent Ransack - in the location you specify.

Yes, I had trouble finding it because the folder is hidden.

Cheers,

Francis

It's often convenient to make a quick change to this file right in notepad. ALWAYS first make a backup before changing. I'm on Win7/WF8 but should work for some others releases too ... run the following on Windows command line or .bat file:
%windir%\system32\notepad.exe "%userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Information Builders\wfscom.xml"

I've added the file to a project in EditPlus, so I will never forget the location - until I upgrade to WF 8...
