gregvHide Webservlet window when format is Excel
Hi,
Does anyone know how to hide, eliminate or close after Excel comes up, the webservlet window when the output format is Excel?
I have users who end up with many of these windows open and they would like to not have them or at least have them go away on there own.
Thanks,
Greg

PrarieAre you getting a pop up message about the servlet or is a blank page there with the Excel hiding behind it?

gregvI'm getting an blank pop-up window with Excel opening in another window. When I close Excel this pop-up does not close. Some users don't discover this for a while and find they have many blank pop-up windows open.
Thanks, Greg
Greg

Tony AGreg,
If you are using version 7.1.1 then this is a known problem. Upgrade to 7.1.3 where it (along with many other "features") is fixed.

PrarieYou also may want to have your administrater check your mime file
Edit your MIME.WFS under the \\ibi\WebFOCUSxx\clientxx\wfc\etc\ directory.
Change the following line in your MIME file:
.xls application/vnd.ms-excel binary no no
TO:
.xls application/vnd.ms-excel binary yes no
